Orchard Dental Care is proudly accepting new patients. We do take many but not all insurance plans. For those that have an insurance plan, we will confirm eligibility and benefits and we ask only that you pay your estimated co-payment at the time of service. We will send your claim and accept the payment. Sometimes insurance company’s guidelines are not accurate for our local area and small differences in our estimated co-payments can occur. When this happens, you will be billed or credited for the difference.
If you have insurance with a company we do not participate with, we will be happy to determine what benefit you will be eligible to receive as a patient at Orchard Dental Care. You will be responsible for your co-pays at the time of service, and then we will send in your claims so you can receive reimbursement. Many times it is the paperwork that discourages patients from using a “non-participating“ dentist. At Orchard Dental Care we encourage patients to see the dentist of their choice and will take care of your claim paperwork to make this option easier.
This is a common question asked by many first time parents. We recommend seeing children around the age of 3 for their first checkup. They will have their teeth cleaned and checked in a fun environment. Do not wait until your child has a toothache or a dental emergency to take him/her to the dentist for the first time. The experience may be very traumatic and one the child will probably remember for many years to come. As a result, the child may develop a fear of the dentist and that fear is sometimes very hard to overcome. You should start brushing your child’s teeth as soon as they erupt. If you see any dark areas or areas of concern, please do not hesitate to bring them in for us to take a look.
There are many products and procedures available to brighten your smile. Before you purchase any number of the tooth whitening products in the store or online, it is important to understand what is causing your teeth to stain, the risks, as well as the benefits to whitening your teeth. Your first step should be to schedule an examination and cleaning of your teeth. At this time, your dentist or hygienist can review your oral health with you, any medications that you may be taking, as well as make recommendations for any dietary changes or teeth bleaching products or procedures that will work for you.
Generally, we can schedule you an appointment the next week. However, if you would like to get in sooner we maintain a cancellation list so that we fill all cancelled appointments. We do reserve space for emergencies such as severe pain, so we can see you the very same day. We also offer evening appointments although the wait may be lengthy for these appointments because people generally schedule these in advance.
We try to be considerate of our patient’s time and appreciate that in return. However, we know that there are times when you cannot make a scheduled appointment. In that event, we would appreciate the courtesy of a phone call notifying us that it is necessary to cancel your appointment. If two or more appointments are missed, a $50 fee will be charged and must be paid before making your next appointment.
We ask that all patients pay their copay at the time of service. We proudly accept: cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, Care Credit as well as offering short-term payment plans. Kelly will be happy to discuss options and set up a payment plan that best fits your needs. In the event that your account becomes delinquent and assigned to a collection agency you will be responsible for all collection and attorney’s fees.
